Comment:: I have a maxed out iMac (27-inch, Late 2012). I bought this in the interim before I upgrade to new machine next year.
Speed is much improved but only on some programs (Photoshop, Final Cut). No speed bump in Davinci Resolve though.
Still worth the purchase especially since there will be an upgrade package (so I can buy a Mac Pro or iMac and get a speed bump from the Bizon Box). Had a couple of set up issues but they were resolved quickly by customer service.

Please contact our technical support about the DaVinci Resolve, with the right settings there should be a performance increase as well.

Works great with both a Mac Mini 2012 and a Retina MaсBook 2012 OS X 10.12.1 Sierra using a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950. Application software is Wolfram Mathematica 11.0.1. Four times performance improvement in neural network training over the Intel i7 processors in both of these Apple Macs.

Super solution and great customer support.

Comment:: I have a 2012 Macbook Pro that desperately needs an upgrade in graphics power; then I came across Bizon Box 2S.
I bought the one with GTX980Ti after reading multiple reviews online; although the initial setup was a bit of a hassle, I eventually got it to work with Boot Camp.
It has enabled CUDA and therefore running GPU-based renderers like Octane Render - the boost in graphics speed was amazing!

Comment:: Great improvement by drving my 43" centre monitor with the box and leaving the 6Gb cards in the MacPro "ashtray) to look after the 2 27" monitors either side.

I work in Photoshop all day and the screen responcse is now perfect. No lag in using of the tools that I had before.

Great solution for MacPros that has no expandabilty.

Comment:: I am using the BizonBox 25 with two Macs:

1) 15-inch Macbook Pro early 2013. This one has a discrete GPU in addition to the integrated GPU. Using MacOS Sierra, the BizonBox works flawlessly. However, using Windows via Bootcamp, the discrete GPU causes a conflict that I couldn't resolve. As a result, the Bizonbox is unusable under Windows with this Mac.

2) 13-inch Macbook Pro late 2013. This Mac only has an integrated GPU and the Bizonbox works flawlessly with both MacOS Sierra and Windows 10 via Bootcamp.

The primary use of the Bizonbox is for gaming. Games that wouldn't run before or ran so slow as to be unusable now run very quickly.

You can contact our technical support at support@bizon-tech.com about a compatibility issue with the MacBook Pro 15" Early 2013.
This issue is present on some Nvidia driver versions and installing the correct driver version should solve it.

Comment:: I purchased the Bison Box to run with my Titan X Maxwell. I am using it with my 2013 4 core trashcan.

I installed my own card and the process was painless. The software activation was a breeze. I was up and running in less than 10 minutes.

I have been using it for video editing purposes. I have been using it to help with the render of footage shot on Red cameras.

With apps such as Redline X I am able to use just my single card with CUDA or combine the cards using open CL. It is a noticeable difference in render speed as well as playback.

While not in realtime for 8k footage the playback in full res is pretty quick compared to using the stock GPU in my trashcan. I'm still testing but so far I am a happy customer.

I'm looking forward to upgrading to the Bizon Box 2S when it becomes available.

Pros
Easy setup.
Works out-of-the-box
Great way to get a solid GPU on a Mac. Apps that utilize the GPU work fantastic (After Effects, Cinema 4D, etc...)

Cons
Computer can't go to sleep. If so, it will crash.
Encasing doesn't fully enclose the 980TI leaving partial card exposed.

The issue with the sleep mode is a known one, we hope it will be fixed in the future macOS versions.

We now have the new BizonBOX 2S and BizonBOX 3 that can accommodate almost any graphics card.
