BizonBOX with NVIDIA GTX TITAN X GPU

Comment:: I have installed a BizonBOX with a NVIDIA GTX TITAN X as an eGPU on my iMac 15,1 running Windows 10 via Bootcamp in order to be able to run the Microvolution plugin (http://www.microvolution.com/) within Fiji (https://fiji.sc/). This was necessary since Microvolution requires a CUDA capable GPU, but the internal GPU, a AMD Radeon R9 M295X, is not.

The installation is very easy and the support was quick and very knowledgeable; I had a very good experience. Thank you.

Currently, I have the BizonBOX with the eGPU connected to the first port on my iMac, and the second port is connected to 2 Pegasus2 R8 units that are daisy-chained. For unknown reasons, Windows 10 does not boot when the 2 Pegasus R8 are daisy-chained and connected to the second port when at the same time the eGPU is connected to the first port. Windows 10 does boot, however, if the Pegasus 2 are not daisy-chained, i.e. only one of them is connected, and the eGPU is connected. Occassionaly, it can be required to unplug all connected devices from the iMac to boot into Windows 10 via Bootcamp. I thought to include this short note, since it may potentially help other users.

In OS X 10.11.6 everything is working fine.

Comment:: We use the Mac Pro late 2013 "trashcan". We got the BizonBOX together with the Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X (for mac architecture).
We ordered from Germany - so we were afraid to get a thing which would not work.

The Bizon staff had offered us to send the item back if we are not satisfied.
We started with some problems to install the card and run the system on the Mac Pro. After a great support service we activated it with great results.

Mostly we use After Effects and 3D Elements. We are now almost 4 times faster in rendering complex things. 10 Sec Renderings with the AMD on-board card have left us waiting for 154 minutes. Тow we only got 45 minutes for the same process.

We also have a real-time preview. It's a great solution.

Comment:: MacBook Pro Early-2011 with the BizonBOX 2: NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti, 6 GB, DVI, HDMI, 3 DP (2816 CUDA Cores)

I am now able to play StarCraft2 at the highest settings with absolutely no lag. The graphics are gorgeous! I was previously only able to play at a maximum of medium with regular stuttering.

Comment:: Used on a recent Mac Pro and Macbook Pro model with Cinema4D Octane Renderer. Setup was pretty easy, and the product works great. The only downside is that both machines struggle to turn on or reboot. Most of the times we have to turn on and off the machines a couple of times before they boot. Otherwise no problems.

Comment:: I have a 2013 MBP Retina and am connecting to a BB2 which has an Nvidia 980 GPU inside. The BB2 integrated without issue and is performing as advertised. The BB2/GPU unit does indeed bring a much needed improvement to the modest GPUs offered by Apple. The improvement is really dependent upon the software being used i.e.. photoshop, premiere, FCPX etc. If the software utilizes a GPU extensively you will notice a sizable performance gain if not then you won't. For gaming it works beautifully for obvious reasons. I'm satisfied and the best thing is you can port it from computer to computer and you can take advantage of the new GPUs as they become available.

5D to RGB Batch - Transcodes Canon DSLR 7D and T3i (aka 600D) H.264 Footage to ProRes 422 (HQ)

Red Giant Plugins, Filmconvert Pro Plugin, Neat Video Plugin, and REVision Effects Plugins (Twixtor, DeFlicker)
for After Effects and Premiere Pro CC 2015

So far the performance increase is great! Red Giant is faster, but still lags/freezes a bit. They have poor GPU acceleration in the first place. Neat Video crashed when I tried setting up the GTX 980 TI (only tried once though). I haven't test REVision too much, and Filmconvert works great! 5D to RGB is much faster as well general speed and less crashes in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects!

Dmitry and Peter have been great in assisting me with getting started on the Bizon Box 2. Dmitry responds quickly and efficiently, and responds patiently with all my extensive questions. I greatly appreciate this, as well as Peter's discounts and ease of read emails. Overall very happy with this product so far!

Comment:: Only complaint so far is that it seems weird the box wasn't made long enough to house the GPU. Another minor thing is the power supply is a bit loud.
Performance is great though!
